how exactly did the India China Border clashes happen?

The seriousness of the incident in which a commanding officer was killed in a surprise attack is difficult for ordinary citizens to comprehend.  It is now well known that three Indian soldiers were killed in a clash at LAC late Monday night.  Every soul is equally important.  But if a commanding officer is stabbed to death in front of his battalion, then only we can understand what the rest of the battalion is thinking now.

The 17th Battalion of the Bihar Regiment is now stationed in the Galwan Valley.  The Chinese killed the colonel of that battalion.  But how did the Chinese make this happen?  How did the Chinese army find a colonel or a commanding officer of a battalion in front of them?  The bullets did not go off.  In other words, the colonel sitting at the battalion headquarters was martyred by bullets or bullets coming from a distance, but nothing like that happened.  The war did not start again as the commanding officer would face the Chinese army with the whole force in the LAC (Line of Actual Control).  If so, how exactly did the incident happen?

China claims that Indian forces entered Chinese territory without provocation.  That claim is completely false. according to Colonel Soumitra Roy (Retd.) Chin did not abide by the decision made at the corps commander level meeting.  The noise started from him.  A meeting between the Indian and Chinese forces was held on June 7 at the LAC at the corps commander level.  Such a high level military meeting between India and China held never before.  Several important decisions were made at that meeting.  It was decided that the two countries would withdraw their forces from the areas where the Indian and Chinese forces were facing each other in the LAC.  There were reports that both sides were withdrawing their forces from various posts.  But news reached Indian forces on Monday that China had not keep his word .  The Chinese forces did not retreat at all as much as they were supposed to retreat from Patrol Point 14 in the Galwan Valley.

That's how complicated the situation was, it’s hard to sit so far and tear it apart. Colonel Soumitra Roy also said that from his own military life experience, a commanding officer himself would never go to the opponent's camp unless the situation was very serious.  Commanding officers are the pillars of the Indian Army.  The success of the force depends on their skill and ability to lead.  When such an important officer had to go to the opponent's camp in the middle of the night or stand in front of them, the situation must have become extremely sensitive.  As far as he knows, the Colonel himself had to go to the scene as the Chinese forces were not willing to accept the decision of the meeting at all.  Ignoring the decision taken at the corps commander level meeting, it is very unfair for the Chinese forces to stay at Patrol Point 14 and to withdraw immediately. This is the message that Colonel confronted the Chinese army.  There the situation suddenly heated up and the colonel was hit with a khukri.

Indian forces responded to China on the spot.  The colonel did not go to face the Chinese with his entire battalion.  Because it was not his intention to engage in war or conflict.  But the part of the battalion that was with him gave the appropriate answer to China.  The Chinese authorities themselves have admitted that 5 Chinese soldiers were killed and 11 others were injured.  But my fear is that the situation could worsen.  The battalion will not accept such a deadly attack on the colonel.

A battalion has at least 600 men.  To these 600 people, but their commanding officer or colonel is equal to God.  Every member of the battalion is like a child to the commanding officer.  And even for the commanding officer, those 600 people are always ready to give their lives.  That commanding officer was killed by Chin.  I have received news that some betrayal has taken refuge.  In other words, the conversation ended well.  The Chinese forces also began the process of withdrawal.  But suddenly they came back and attacked.  From my own experience, every member of the battalion whose commanding officer was martyred this way is now a mad horse.  They are now burning in the fire of remedy.  I did not utter the word 'revenge'.  But there must be a 'remedy' for this.  But that battalion cannot be calmed down until there is a remedy.

It is unthinkable to attack in this way.  No self-respecting force can attack in this way.  Shooting on the Indo-China border is prohibited on the basis of an agreement between the two countries.  The two countries have developed a code of conduct to deal with any problems or conflict situations.  But China continued to try to find loopholes in that code of conduct.  Although no shots were fired, there were several skirmishes between the two forces on the border.  In that fight, the Chinese forces can never get stuck.  So they have started taking heinous tactics recently.  They come to patrol the LAC with sticks.  The head of the stick is covered with barbed wire.  Unable to fire, they struck the Indian forces with the barbed wire.  India has patiently continued to try to counter all these Chinese tactics.  Despite China's attempts at aggression in various areas, including the Galvan Valley, Hot Springs, and Pangong, India faced the situation with restraint.  Attempts were being made to find a diplomatic solution, and talks were underway at the military level.  The country's political leadership also refrained from making provocative statements.  Nevertheless, what happened to the Chinese army on Monday night is highly reprehensible.  My fear is that bigger tensions are waiting in Ladakh.
