Pakistan is gathering troops along the Line of Control (LoC) amid clashes with China

The Indian military says Pakistan is gathering troops along the Line of Control (LoC) amid clashes with China.  Lt. Gen. P Raju, commander of the 15th Corps, said Pakistan would be responded appropriately if it launched an operation.

"The situation in Ladakh has not yet affected Kashmir," said Lt. Gen. Raju.  Corps No. 14 is handling the situation there.  Additional troops have gone to Ladakh via Kashmir.  Because that is the normal way to Ladakh.  But Pakistan is also mobilizing troops, "he said." Pakistan recently said it feared an attack from India.  Maybe they have gathered the army for their own protection.  We are vigilant. In response to a question about the breach of the ceasefire, the commander of the 15th Corps said," Pakistan broke the ceasefire as soon as militants infiltrated.  However, the number of ceasefire violations is less than last year.  It has nothing to do with the situation in Ladakh, ”he said, adding that the Joint Command meeting in Jammu and Kashmir had emphasized the need for the army to build rapid bunkers in areas near the Line of Control.

Raju said no clear guidelines have yet been issued on this year's Amarnath Jatra.  "There is no clear direction from the lieutenant governor at the joint command meeting," he said.  "We are trying our best to stop the local youth from joining the militant group," he said.  They are also being given the opportunity to surrender during counter-insurgency operations.

On the same day, the Jammu and Kashmir police said that 29 foreign militants were active in Kokernag, Tral and Khru in south Kashmir.  Jammu and Kashmir Police DG Dilbagh Singh said, "Foreign militants are much more trained.  However, our forces are capable of meeting all kinds of challenges, ”he said. Dilbagh said the number of militants in South Kashmir was still higher than in North Kashmir.  However, anti-militant operations have also started in North Kashmir.
