The number of coronavirus cases in the country is increasing by leaps and bounds. More than ten thousand new infections have become a regular occurrence every day. Thursday was no different. According to the data provided by the Union Ministry of Health, 12,071 people have been newly infected in the last 24 hours. This is still the highest in one day. As a result of this increase, a total of three lakh 8 thousand 946 people were infected with covid in the country.
The number of victims as well as the number of deaths is increasing. The death toll rose to 2,000 in one leap and crossed the 10,000 mark in the country on Wednesday. According to the Union Health Ministry, 334 people have died in the last 24 hours. With this, the total number of deaths in the country is 12 thousand 238 people. Of these, five thousand 751 people died in Maharashtra alone. The death toll in the capital, Delhi, rose steadily to 1,904. One thousand 560 people died in Gujarat which is in the third place. It is followed by Tamil Nadu (56), West Bengal (506), Madhya Pradesh (482), Uttar Pradesh (435), Rajasthan (313), Telangana (192) and Haryana (130) and Karnataka (102).
Maharashtra is at the top of the list of countries affected by one lakh. In the last 24 hours, 3,308 people have been newly infected. A total of one lakh 17 thousand 752 people were affected in that state. Tamil Nadu, which is in the second place, has 50,000 victims. A total of 50 thousand 193 people were affected there. In Delhi, which is in the third place, a total of 46,102 people have been infected. In Gujarat, which is in the fourth place, a total of 25,093 people are affected by corona.
