India has just started to show air dominance in the border region of China. Various attacking helicopters and surveillance aircrafts are now quite often seen to be petroling over there. And under the covering of this tactical surveillance the other cargo helicopters and fighting aircrafts have taken off from leg airport to the Daulat Beg Oldi military airbase .A few days ago, Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat had directed to increase border operations on the basis of coordination between the three forces. According to the sources, the picture has been seen in the border sky since Friday morning.
After the Indo-Chinese clashes in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh, the Indian Army began sending more troops, equipment and supplies to the area. That process is still ongoing. With that , the activity increased in the air from Friday morning. According to Indian Army sources, a Chinook cargo helicopter was seen flying along the Line of Actual Control in the area this morning accompanied by an attacking helicopter. In addition, P-7 Surveillance Aircraft (Surveillance Aircraft) and IL-7 Strategic Airlifter (Cargo Aircraft) were seen flying in the skies of Ladakh.
The US helicopter Chinook is used to move large forces and a lot of supplies together from one place to another. The Russian military aircraft IL-6 is also used for the same purpose. Being a strategic airlifter, this military aircraft can carry far more forces and equipment than the Chinook. The fact that all these military helicopters and planes flew from Leh to Daulat Beg Oldi meant that Delhi wanted to speed up preparations at the border.
The process of increasing the number of troops and supplies on the roads has been going on for the past few days since the incident that took place in the Galwan Valley on Monday night. But it takes a little more time. According to military experts, that is why the airspace is being used for that purpose this time.
Colonel Soumitra Roy, a defense expert and retired Indian Army officer, explained, "The P-7 surveillance aircraft and the Apache attack helicopter have two objectives to fly along the border. First, India started air dominance on the border. In other words, if there is any attempt of aggression from the side of the opponent, it will be retaliated from the sky. Secondly, all the helicopters and planes carrying supplies and troops going to the border airfield will be covered. "
According to local sources, the world's largest tactical airlifter C-130J Super Hercules was also spotted in the skies of Ladakh on Friday morning. As soon as it landed at Daulat Beg Oldi's airport, it flew away again. However, military sources did not say anything about it. Experts say that this flight of Super Hercules means a kind of exercise or war practice. If the situation deteriorates, it is necessary to increase the force and logistics more quickly. That process is being carried out.
