Meanwhile, an official of the board said that even though the IPL was supposed to be held in the country, in the situation created for corona viruse the board could take the IPL to the United Arab Emirates or Sri Lanka. Although the final decision on the venue has not been taken yet.
But it is difficult to hold a tournament in one or two venues in the country as the situation in Corona has not improved. That is why there is a possibility of IPL going abroad. Initially, the IPL was supposed to be held from March 29. But due to Corona, it was postponed indefinitely.
Board officials and franchise owners are interested in hosting the IPL. But the problem has been seen over time. If there is no T20 World Cup, then the board officials want to do IPL at that time. However, as the number of corona cases in the country is increasing day by day, there are growing doubts about organising IPL.
