Indo-Chinese military clashes on the Line of Actual Control (LoC) in the Galwan Valley have been raging since Monday evening.  Although the shelling did not continue, many people were killed on both sides in the fight with sticks and rods.  Earlier on Tuesday, the Indian military said three people had been killed.  But at night, the Indian military confirmed that 17 more soldiers had been killed and seriously injured in the clashes.  According to the Indian Army, they died after being seriously injured in the collision for a long time in temperatures near zero degrees.  On Wednesday, ANI reported that four more soldiers were injured along with him.  In other words, the total number of casualties towards India stood at 24.

Beijing, however, has been skeptical about the number of casualties since the beginning.  But on Tuesday evening, the Chinese Defense Ministry acknowledged that they had also suffered casualties.  But the exact number was not clear until Wednesday afternoon.  Meanwhile, the news agency ANI reported the death of the commanding officer.

AFP news agency quoted an army source in the Galwan region as saying on Tuesday that there had been clashes between the two sides but no shots had been fired.  There are punches and stones being thrown between the two sides.  Besides, the Chinese soldiers attacked with thorny sticks.  The clashes lasted for several hours, AFP reported.  With the number of casualties in that clash

China has been deploying troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galvan Valley since early May.  The deployment of troops to India in a similar manner has raised tensions between the two sides.  But within a few days the situation had calmed down.  No casualties were reported despite the deployment of troops on both sides.  Army level talks also started.  The two sides decided to move the army step by step.  But the diplomatic camp thinks that the process of negotiations will also be affected by this clash between them.
